Our Leadership
Nicholas Del Rosso; Owner
Born and raised in northern New Jersey, Nicholas is an experienced and well-rounded entertainer with a passion for building energetic dance floors and keeping crowds engaged. Nicholas founded Blue Star Productions DJs in 2012 as a mission to offer a DJ service that goes beyond the turntables; tailoring our skills and resources to the needs of each client.
Throughout his professional career as a DJ he has encountered a variety of audiences with musical tastes across all genres. He enjoys getting to know clients, especially engaged couples, and understanding what they're envisioning for their special day. He enjoys figuring out what kind of music people like, don't like, and must hear, and using that knowledge to build lively, joyful, energetic dance floors.

2012
We All Start Somewhere...
​
Nick's very first time DJing in front of a live audience at a 4th of July BBQ in Somerset, New Jersey. A lot has changed since then, but the phone number on the bottom of that paper banner is still the one you'll call to start planning your best day ever!
2014
Some Techy Upgrades...
​
From our speakers to our light show, we quickly moved to upgrade our equipment to improve our show. These upgrades quickly paid off as we started to take on school dances, birthday parties, and graduations. All in all... things were looking very promising for this DJ business thing.
2016
The Wedding Market
​
For Blue Star Productions this era was the start of something special. Fueled by ambition and passion we started taking on our first weddings. This was not a task we took on lightly, however. We have always understood the level of trust that clients are putting in us as their wedding DJ, and have maintained our commitment to high standards.
2018
The Photo Booth Craze
​
Photo booths have been a staple at weddings and special events for many years, but we saw a way it could be done better. We invested in state-of-the-art photo booth technology and developed a business model around making photo booths cheaper, sleeker, and more interactive.
2021
The Move to Tennessee
​
After about a year of settling in we opened for business once again and began performing at weddings in the Volunteer State! Through strong partnerships with other passionate vendors, we hope to become one of Tennessee's leading event entertainment companies.
2024
A New Era.

We've always believed that professionalism starts with presentation. Among our top priorities this decade are investing heavily into refining the aesthetics of our setups, continuing to improve the technical skills and music knowledge of our team, and optimizing our client onboarding process to make our services better, and more easily customizable than ever before!
